The Rules

1) Unless otherwise stated, contact cinderellie7 ONLY, not the account on which the pet is fostered.

2) Tell me your main account and the account you plan on adopting on.

3) Tell me the name of the pet you're interested in.

4) Tell me what kind of transfers you prefer. (neomail, messenger, etc)

5) Read the new pound FAQ

Notes

• Unless otherwise stated, pets go WITHOUT any clothes.
• Because there is only ONE "transfer" allowed per month, expect to do adoptions the old-fashioned way.
• If you are desperate to do a "transfer" be willing to wait a month, or perhaps even 2 in order to adopt, and make sure to absolutely wow me.

Suggestions

• If your account appears dead, spruce it up.
• Tell me a LITTLE about yourself (I don't want your entire life story, but I do want to get a feel for who you are)
• Don't go on about how you're going to buy the pet toys and feed it every day, etc. I tend not to take those people seriously
• Don't apply for nearly every pet, or even multiple pets at a time. It tends to indicate that this is not your real dream pet, that you're just interested in painted pets in general, not this specific one.
• If this pet is for a friend, cousin, or whatever have them contact me themselves. (Exceptions to this are parents helping out their young children.
• Write well when you contact me. You don't have to have entirely perfect spelling and grammar, but put some effort into the contact. Some chatspeak is just fine but limit it. An example of the type of contact I don't want is: "lyk ong, itz da pet i wan. lyk gimme it" or even "its sooooooo cuuuutee!!!! ^_^ <3<3<3"
• If you're accepted to adopt the pet, and the transfer goes well, somehow take note of how you got this pet. An easy, nice way to do that is to put a little note in the pet lookup or petpage saying you got the pet from me (Arden) or from quiggle.org. I ask you to do this because that way, IF something does happen and you can no longer keep the pet, you'll know who you adopted from so you can contact me. Forgetting who you adopted from is NOT an excuse for repounding.

What are you judged on?

• Age of account
• Adherence to rules (did you follow all of them?)
• Your userlookup (if it's decorated, is it firefox compatible? I refuse to use IE so if I can't see your lookup, or click on links, you automatically drop far down in my view. is it a neo themed lookup or not? Is it custom made or not?)
• Your current pets (do they have lookups? do they have petpages? do you seem like a "trophy pet" collector?)
• How active your account is (do you play games, do you have any trophies, do you have petpages, do you have a gallery, what's your shop like, etc)
• Last but not least, do you seem "right". This is a quality that is completely subjective but it's important to me. If I feel uncomfortable with the idea of having you adopt my pet I won't let you. It may be a mistake on my part or it may not, however it's my decision to make!

Due to the current state of freeze-happy neopia and people who react extremely badly when not chosen, I may choose not to reply at all unless I accept you. If I do choose to reply with bad news I will not go into detail for why you were not chosen. The reasons are simple: you broke rules, you didn't give me the basic information I required, someone even better came along, or you simply didn't feel right.

By contacting me you are acknowledging that you have read and followed my rules, that you will not rehome the pet without contacting me first (and giving me the opportunity to readopt), and that you realize that once in the pound anyone can adopt the pet, I cannot guarantee that you will be able to adopt it even if you have been chosen. You also agree not to harass me or anyone else if you do not get the pet.
